Historic F1 & F3000 Demonstrations

Cover your ears and get ready to experience the sound of these incredible machines!

If you have never heard a full-on Formula 1 or F3000 car before, then prepare yourself for a real treat. During the course of the day there will be two on-track demonstrations taking place in between the Time Attack sessions. You’ll see (and hear) cars that are famous for making the right noises – some say in contrast to the modern F1 equivalents.

Scheduled to perform is a World Series Renault that is based on the 2007 Renault F1 car that’s owned and driven by British F1 enthusiast John Reaks. This superb example was previously used by current Torro Rosso F1 driver Brendan Hartley in the Lotus Young Driver Academy – hence it’s JPS style livery. It is fitted with a naturally aspirated V6 engine, which sounds absolutely glorious!

Also appearing is a true to life replica of a 2007 R27 Renault Formula 1 car, of the type driven by Fernando Alonso, Giancarlo Fisichella and Hekki Kovalainen in that year, together with Eric Comas’ actual Marlborough F3000 car. Both are based on a Lola chassis and fitted with a 3.5-litre 650bhp V8 Ilmor engine and owned by Kevin Mason who will drive the Renault replica. Tony Gauntlett will drive the Marlborough liveried version.

A late addition to the line-up is a sensational and very original 1993 F1 Footwork Arrows that was driven by Derek Warwick and Aguri Suzuki during that season. This legendary car is powered by a 3.5 litre Hart DFR V8 and will be driven by its owner Eddie McClurg.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the sights and sounds that are now rarely seen on British racetracks.
